The Purnaa Team

Meet Bikash

by Elizabeth Bandy

“I’m so excited because our vision from the start was to make Purnaa the best factory in Nepal. We’ve grown a lot already. But, I still want to see this place grow more.”

What do you like about working at Purnaa? To me, Purnaa feels like one big multicultural family. I love to see people from many different Nepali tribes and cultures come together. And then add in the bideshi (foreigner) culture to the mix… It is just fun!

What are some ways you want grow? Since working at Purnaa, I’ve had the opportunity to learn about accounting and business. I have been here since the beginning and my skills have only grown in the past two years. I have learned so much, but I want to learn so much more. Even though we are growing so much as a company and as individuals, there are always more ways to grow.

Right now, I am assisting in accounting and stock management and I want to learn more about managing and leading people. How to motivate people, direct them, encourage them – to me, that is what it means to be a good leader.

How has it changed you as a person working here?

I used to be a day laborer and since working at Purnaa I have learned so many skills; like accounting, computer software, and business management. Now in my neighborhood and around my friends, I am known as a skilled businessman.

Anything else you want to add?

Because I have learned so much here, I want to give my best back to Purnaa. I’m so excited because our vision from the start was to make Purnaa the best factory in Nepal. We’ve grown a lot already. But, I still want to see this place grow more.
